Family Horse Riding in the Pamirs of Tajikistan
Is this your first time?
Never been on a horse? “Not a problem” many of our riders tried it for the first time. It’s a fun to take inexperienced people and see the big smiles on their faces and the satisfaction when they learn to ride. The thrill of just being on the back of a horse and riding in the mountains of Pamir is one of the most exciting adventures that people always after when they come to the Pamirs mountains.
Advantages of riding a horse:
You can see much more because you are not having to watch the trail. You can ride more and see more of the mountain landscape enjoying the smell of the flowers, the sounds of birds, listen to streams and see the contrasting colours of the nature. Traveling at 9-10km an hour, horses can cover a lot of territory, and in a short time riders can be a deep into the mountains.
We have a unique trail for a group of up to eight, which will be tailored to your need. The loop tour that will take you to Zaroshkul goes through very diverse scentaries and you will have a new adventure awaiting for you the next day you get out of your tent. Riders, then, are constantly taking in new scenery, and views of the dark and light blue lakes, peaks with hanging glaciers, small forest , wilderness, with sometimes riding at 4600m altitude.
We recommend you to have appropriate shoes for riding, but any closed toed shoes are fine too, if it’s only a day trip. Sandals are not recommended. Long pants and hats are needed, but if it’s a week ride so then take extra clothes such as warm jacket, gloves sunscreen and sunglasses.
How many days:
Next decide how much time you really have for spending in the saddle. We offer variety options, ranging from one hour to a whole week. So take advantage of it! Whether it’s for two hour or a whole week. Saddle up---and happy trails to you in the Pamir Mountains!
